This policy explains how Leffel Consulting LLC ("Leffel Consulting", "we", "us") handles information when you visit leffelconsulting.com, email us, book a call, or message our Facebook Page. We are a small, owner-operated business based in Arkansas, and we keep the information we collect to what we need to talk with you and do the work.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- When you contact us by email, phone, a booking link, or a form: your name, business name, contact details, and whatever you tell us about your project.
- When you message our Facebook Page through Messenger: the messages you send, your name as shown on your Facebook profile, and a Page-scoped ID that Meta assigns so we can reply to you. We do not receive your Facebook password, friends list, or other profile information.
- When you become a client: billing and project details needed to deliver and invoice the work.
Information we collect automatically
- Our website is hosted on Microsoft Azure, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and troubleshooting.
- The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- We do not use advertising cookies or sell-your-data tracking, and we do not run third-party analytics on this website.
Business information from public sources
To offer our services to local businesses, we note publicly available business information — such as a business name, public phone number, website, public listings and reviews — and our own observations about a business's website. We do not buy personal data or contact lists.
How we use information
- To reply to your questions and messages, schedule calls, and follow up about a project you asked about.
- To prepare proposals, deliver services, provide support, and send invoices.
- To keep a record of our conversations in our customer relationship management (CRM) system, so we don't lose track of what you asked or what we promised.
- To keep our website and systems secure and working.
AI-assisted replies. We may use an AI assistant (such as OpenAI's ChatGPT) to help draft replies to messages. Drafts are reviewed and approved by a person before anything is sent to you. Message content shared with the AI provider is used to prepare our reply.
Facebook Messenger. We only send Messenger messages to people who have messaged our Page first, and only within the time windows Meta allows. We do not use Messenger for unsolicited marketing.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only as needed with:
- Service providers that run our business tools on our behalf — Microsoft Azure (hosting and our CRM database), Meta (Facebook and Messenger), Google Workspace (email and calendar), and OpenAI (drafting assistance). They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons — when required by law, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
- A business transfer — if Leffel Consulting is merged or sold, subject to this policy.
How long we keep information
We keep conversation and project records while we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterward for support, tax and legal purposes. Prospect records we no longer need are deleted or anonymized. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), secured cloud hosting, two-factor authentication on administrative accounts, and limited, audited access for integrations. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you as required by law.
Your choices and data deletion
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, including your Facebook Messenger conversation history with our Page. To make a request:
- Email sales@leffelconsulting.com with the subject "Data deletion request", or send our Facebook Page a message saying "Delete my data".
- Tell us the name and, if relevant, the business or Facebook profile name you contacted us with.
- We will confirm your request and delete your information from our CRM within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (for example, invoices).
You can also stop receiving messages from us at any time by replying "stop" or asking us not to contact you again, and you can remove our Page from your Messenger conversations in Facebook's settings.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed; significant changes will be posted on this page.
